Conor McGregor Relinquishes Featherweight Championship

At UFC 205, Conor McGregor made history when he defeated Eddie Alvarez to win the UFC Lightweight Championship. That victory made McGregor the first to simultaneously hold two weight class belts in the UFC. In a statement on November 26, UFC announced that McGregor has now relinquished the featherweight title.

Jose Aldo, who currently holds the interim featherweight championship, has been elevated to the undisputed champion of the division. McGregor knocked Aldo out in 13 seconds in a unification bout last year and has held the undisputed featherweight championship until he relinquished it.
